Carrie Adams Memorial Scholarship
I have always known my privilege as a student athlete at St. Philip. I am
able to publicly learn and pray when I desire: in class, at sporting events, or when
tragedy occurs. I can grow with my classmates, teammates, and teachers
whenever I have the want to. This is extremely important to me because when I
graduate from St. Philip Catholic Central I will know where to turn when I need
guidance. I will always have that Christian dignity that I learned at St. Philip.
Have knowing Christian life my entire education career; I would like to
continue my faith into college. I would like to attend a private college and further
my Christian vocation as well as my education. This scholarship would help me
do so by giving me assistance to attend said college. The Carrie Adams
Memorial Scholarship would give me opportunities at things that without it, I may
not get such as: attending a private college, attending great Christian programs,
and grow through a Christian education. Some private schools I have thought
about our Trine University, Loyola Marymont University, Kalamazoo College, and
my dream school the University of Notre Dame. Attending any of these private
colleges would help me grow in my Christian virtue.
If I were not to attend any of these private schools or any private schools
this scholarship would assist me in attend a public college where at, I could join
Christian groups, service groups, grow with other students who have the same
interests as me. The Carrie Adams Memorial Scholarship would still give me the
same opportunity attending a private college as a public college. It may not be as
influence, but it would still help me recognize my Christian privilege in college
and not just in high school. I would be able to continue something I have done
my whole life, every day. It something I’m comfortable with and would grow even
more comfortable with through college and others.
In conclusion, the Carrie Adams Memorial Scholarship would assist me in
growing my Christian vocation through college. After college I would have those
morals and keep those at heart in my career field. I would spread the morals to
others, to my future family, and more.
